Application field and principle introduction

Copper foil is the key material in circuit board manufacturing industry. Because the thickness difference on the copper foil section will affect the impedance, the thickness tolerance of copper foil is required to be controlled within & plusmn; 2.5%.
Electrolytic copper foil industry uses arc structure electrolytic cell to produce copper foil by electrolytic copper sulfate solution. Copper is plated on the cathode of titanium rotating cylinder with diameter of 2-3m, and the copper foil is peeled off at one end of the rotating cylinder; the distance between anode and cathode roller is as small as 5mm. Due to the strict requirements of product quality and performance, the stability of electrolytic conditions in production is strictly required, and the anode must carry a great current. Precious metal coated titanium anode has stable electrode to electrode distance, shorter time to replace anode, and lower energy consumption. These advantages play a positive role in product quality and process stability.
During electrolysis, the cations in the electrolyte migrate to the cathode, and the electrons on the anode are reduced. The anions run to the anode and lose electrons and are oxidized. Connect two electrodes in copper sulfate solution and apply direct current. At this time, it will be found that copper and hydrogen are separated on the electrode plate connected to the cathode of the power supply. If it is copper anode, the dissolution of copper and the precipitation of oxygen occur simultaneously. The reaction is as follows:
cathode:Cu2+ +2e → 2Cu
     2H+ +2e → H2↑
anode:4OH- +4e → 2H2O + O2↑
     2SO42-+2H2O -4e → 2H2SO4 + O2↑
The consumption of copper ions in the electrolyte is supplemented by copper dissolved from the anode. After a certain treatment of the cathode surface, the copper layer deposited on the cathode can be peeled off, and a certain thickness of copper skin can be obtained. Copper skin with certain functions is called copper foil.

Electrolyte : Cu2+, 50-150 g/l 
       H2SO4, 60-150 g/l
       Cl-, 30-60 ppm
       Additives, 2-5 ppm 
Temperature : 50 - 65°C 
Current density : 6000 - 9,000 A / m² 
Anode type: Modified Iridium Dioxide Coated Titanium Anode
Anode life: more than 8 months 

In addition to the production of titanium anodes for electrolytic copper foil, Yianteng can also provide composite extruded copper / titanium bars, copper racks, pads and titanium screws, nuts and washers. All contact points are coated with platinum or oxide contact coating to reduce contact resistance. The fully installed anode products can be directly installed on the production line after being handed over to the customer.
After the anode reaches its service life, it can be repaired and renovated by Itanium. Before recoating the anode, the remaining coating of all anodes will be peeled off and tested for short circuit damage. For some long-term customers, our company can store the recoated anode in our warehouse. These anodes will be installed on the conductive plates used by customers and cleaned by our company, which can shorten the delivery period as much as possible。
